The Virginian Golf Club
22512 Clubhouse Ridge
Bristol, Virginia 24202

Situated little more than a stone's throw from the majestic Jefferson National Forest on 538 acres of rolling hills, meadows carpeted in wildflowers, and unspoiled woodlands and hardwood forests, The Virginian is a private Tom Fazio design on the Virginia-Tennessee border. Because of that, both the 1997 Virginia and Tennessee men's amateur championships were played here.

The eighth at The Virginian is 210 yards of scenic splendor. From the elevated tee, one's eye is drawn to the artesian well house on the left that produces 5 million gallons per day for the local residents. The beauty is such on this hole that an errant shot seems almost inconsequential.
