Miss short on the 222-yard par-3 16th hole and you'll likely be left with a tough bunker shot.

Bellerive Country Club

St. Louis, Missouri 63141

Bellerive hosted the 1965 U.S. Open -- the first U.S. Open televised in color -- and the first USGA Mid Amateur in 1981. It also held the PGA Championship in 1992, when Nick Price won the first of his three major championships. The course took on some of the best players in the world again when it hosted this year's U.S. Senior Open, won by Peter Jacobsen.

A wonderful par 3 that stretches 222 yards from the back tees, the 16th at Bellerive, with its cavernous bunkers guarding the green, requires that players carry the ball all the way onto the green.
