Kapalua Golf Club (Plantation) 2000 Plantation Club Drive Kapalua, Hawaii 96761 808-669-8820

Two of the three courses at this resort on the northwest coast of Maui -- the Bay Course and the Plantation Course -- regularly rank among Golf Digest's Top 75 Resort Courses. The Plantation course is a Bill Coore/Ben Crenshaw design that opened in 1991.

The 17th hole is a 486-yard par 4. That's right, a 486-yard par 4. The tradewinds are at the player's back making the hole play slightly shorter, but it's still a bear and a main reason why the Plantation Course is not only home to the PGA Tour's Mercedes Championships, but ranked No. 3 in the state of Hawaii by Golf Digest.
