JUNCTION CITY, Ore. -- Fran Quinn and Ricky Barnes each shot a 68 on Friday to share the lead at 9-under 135 when the second round of the Nationwide Tour's Oregon Classic was suspended because of darkness.

Tim Wilkinson of New Zealand and Chad Collins of Indianapolis also had 68s to go 8-under on the par-72, 7,007-yard course at Shadow Hills Country Club.

Quinn, who is from Massachusetts and is 68th on the money list, had seven birdies but double-bogeyed his 16th hole.

Barnes is the 2002 U. S. Amateur champion.

"I have to battle out there and grind. I can always fix it on the driving range but when youre out there you have to play with what you have that day," Barnes said. "I did that well today. I hung in there, hung in there, hung in there and then when I figured it out I took advantage of it and played well on the way in."

Eugene's Jeff Quinney, who was sixth on the money list, had a 70 Friday for a 3-under 141. University of Oregon golf coach Casey Martin had a 72 and was also 3-under.

Jason Allred, who grew up in Ashland, shot a disappointing 79 and was not expected to make the cut with an even-par 144. Craig Kanada of Lake Oswego shot a 75 and finished at 3-over.

Fog caused a 65-minute delay early in the day, and 10 players were unable to complete their rounds. They will finish on Saturday before the third round.
