Fasth wins Mallorca Classic by three shots

SON SERVERA, Mallorca -- Niclas Fasth shot a 2-under 68 Sunday for a three-stroke win over Sergio Garcia at the Mallorca Classic.

The Swede finished at 5-under 275 and Garcia, the 2004 winner, shot 68 to finish second in back-to-back years.

Jose Manuel Lara (67) and Marc Warren (70) tied for third, four shots behind Fasth.

Fasth, who won the Spanish Open in April, bogeyed the ninth but had birdies at the par-5 10th and par-4 14th. Garcia closed within two strokes of the leader after a birdie on the par-3 13th, but he missed a 6-foot birdie putt on the next hole.

Gary Murphy, the co-leader heading into the final round, was 5-over on his last eight holes and finished in a tie for 13th after a 76.
