One interesting byproduct of the new FedEx Cup playoffs: The PGA Tour is now grouping players for the opening two rounds based on their points standing, which means that the top three players on the list -- Steve Stricker, K.J. Choi and Rory Sabbatini -- will spend 36 holes together at this week's Deutsche Bank Championship.

More intriguing than that, however, is the next three on the list. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh rank 4-6, giving the tournament of trio of top stars competing alongside one another.

Horse for the Course	Singh Vijay Singh won the Deutsche Bank in 2004 and has not finished worse than fourth in three appearances.	Quigley Brad Faxon helped with the redesign at TPC-Boston, but he's not in this week's field, so let's go with Best Rhody Available in Brett Quigley.	Scott Adam Scott owns one first place and a second at TPC-Boston.	Singh In just four years, Vijay Singh has won once and finished second once at TPC-Boston, where he shot a course-record 61 last year. He hasn't had the season many envisioned from him, but this might be the right time and the right course.
Birdie Buster	Woods Tiger Woods is coming off of consecutive victories at the Bridgestone and PGA Championship. He also won last year's Deutsche Bank, holding off Singh.	Stricker Now that he's got that long elusive win out of the way, expect Steve Stricker to continue his strong play.	Singh Vijay Singh set the course record with a 61 at last year's Deutsche Bank Championship.	Scott Adam Scott is another who plays well on this course. He won the first Deutsche Bank title in 2003 and was second in 2004, however he hasn't had a top-10 finish since before the U.S. Open.
Super Sleeper	Mahan Hunter Mahan had a quiet tie for 22nd at last year's Deutsche Bank, before he emerged as one of the game's top young players. He is 16th in the FedEx Cup standings and would make a huge leap toward winning the whole thing with a victory.	LaBelle Talk about buying into the format. Rookie Doug LaBelle made a 6-footer on the final hole to squeeze into this week's field -- then talked about how much it meant to him to make the second round.	Kim A victory this week gives Anthony Kim a leg up on Brandt Snedeker in the Rookie of the Year race.	Rose Justin Rose was T-3 in 2003 and T-4 in 2006 at the Deutsche Bank and he has been playing lights-out golf the last several months on the PGA Tour. He has finished T-14 or better in eight of his last nine starts.
Winner	Scott 2003 Deutsche Bank champion Adam Scott is lurking in ninth place in the points, and a win likely would put him in first place with two events to go.	Woods Here's guessing Tiger Woods won't be too rusty after giving himself a first-round bye in the playoffs.	Woods He's baaaaack.
