Bebb lead at Dunhill Championship by one stroke
MALELANE, South Africa -- Sion Bebb shot a 5-under 67 on Thursday to take a one-stroke lead after the first round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
The Welshman, able to avoid the 104-degree heat with an early tee time, had six birdies and a bogey on the Leopard Creek Country Club course.
South Africa's Omar Sandys and Scotland's Craig Lee opened with 68s. Three-time champion Ernie Els shot a 70, while Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke had a 73.
The tournament is sanctioned by the Sunshine and European tours.
