SYLVANIA, Ohio -- Michelle Wie has accepted a sponsor exemption to play in the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic in suburban Toledo this summer.

Wie, a freshman at Stanford, first played in the tournament as a 13-year-old amateur in 2003.

She is currently playing on the LPGA Tour and hoping to bounce back after wrist problems curtailed her season a year ago. She received an exemption to play in the Safeway two weeks ago but withdrew after tweaking her left wrist.

The Farr tournament also gave an exemption to amateur Stacy Lewis, a Toledo native who has played in the past three Farr events.

Se Ri Pak became the first LPGA player to win the same tournament six times when she captured the Farr last summer.
