HELSINGOER, Denmark -- Annika Sorenstam ended her pro golf career in Europe by finishing third at the Nykredit Masters tournament won by Martina Eberl on Sunday.

The 37-year-old Hall of Famer from Sweden closed with a 2-under 71 in the Ladies European Tour event, finishing five shots behind Eberl.

Sorenstam had three birdies and one bogey. She finished with a 54-hole total of 9-under 210.

The German shot a 66 with eight birdies and one bogey for a total of 14-under 205.

It was her second European win in 76 tournaments since 2003.
