South Korea's Kim Wi-joong shot a 4-under 67 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead in the Korea Open, while American Ryder Cup star Anthony Kim followed his opening 64 with a 73 to drop three shots back.

"I had no control over my distance," said Anthony Kim, a two-time winner this year on the PGA Tour. "I have to tighten up my driver now. It was not a good round, but I still have a chance heading into the weekend rounds."

Kim Wi-joong had an 8-under 134 total on the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club course. England's Ian Poulter (66) and South Korea's Kim Dae-sub (68) were tied for second. Forty-five players were unable to complete the round because of darkness.

Wi-joong Kim had four birdies and an eagle in the round that was delayed by fog.

"It gave me an opportunity to warm up," Kim Wi-joong said. "It felt much better than actually having to tee off in the early morning."

Poulter had the best round of the day.

"To shoot a 5 under today is good," Poulter said. "I am a little disappointed with the two bogeys. I three-putted both the holes."
