Jamie Sadlowski, who had won consecutive junior long-drive titles in 2005 and 2006, proved that he belonged with the big boys.

The 20-year-old Canadian reared back and launched a record 418-yard drive to claim the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship on Saturday night and the $250,000 first prize. The previous mark was a 412-yard blast by Jason Zuback.

South Africa's Dewald Gouws was the runner-up with a drive of 387 yards in the finals. He earned $60,000 for his finish.

Dan Boever's 366-yard drive earned the Rogersville, Mo., resident $50,000 and the title in the seniors division.

The event will be broadcast on ESPN from 3-4:30 ET on December 24 and on ESPN2 on December 25 from 2-3:30 ET.
