Yang chasing Kim at China Open
SUZHOU, China -- South Korea's Kim Do-hoon shot a 3-under 69 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead after the second round at the China Open.
Kim is 11-under 133 at the Jinji Lake Golf Club in Suzhou outside of Shanghai.
China Open Leaderboard
1. Kim (-11)
T-2. Jaidee (-10)
T-2. Donaldson (-10)
T-2. Yang (-10)
T-5. Ilonen (-9)
T-3. Larrazabal (-9)
Kim could have been further ahead, but he bogeyed the 18th to go with his four birdies in the $2.5 million event, which is co-sanctioned by OneAsia and the European Tour.
Thongchai, who like Kim had an opening round of 64, managed a 70 on Friday. He was playing with an injured left arm that forced him to pull out of the second round of the Masters last week.
Yang shot a 66, while Donaldson carded a 68 on the par-72 course.
U.S. Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin was tied for eighth at 7 under with South Koreans Kim Dae-hyun and Noh Seung-yul after an up-and-down round in which he mixed four bogeys with six birdies.
