Azahara Munoz is top LPGA rookie
Azahara Munoz of Spain will be the winner of the LPGA's Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year award.
The LPGA season still has two events left, but Munoz has a 313-point lead. Even if runner-up Amanda Blumenherst wins the two remaining events, she could only earn 300 points.
Munoz has two top-10 finished and two more top-25 finishes. Her best finish of the season was fourth in the Bell Micro LPGA Classic.
The other LPGA awards are still being contested, including player of the year. Jiyai Shin, who won the Mizuno Classic on Sunday, has a relatively comfortable lead for the Rolex Player of the Year award, though Yani Tseng, Cristie Kerr, AI Miyazato, Suzann Peterson and Na Yeon Choi all have a shot at surpassing her.
