PHOENIX -- A later Super Bowl could mean moving the Phoenix Open to Presidents Day weekend.
Tournament chairman Mike McQuaid says the PGA Tour likes the Phoenix Open's spot in the schedule at the same time as Super Bowl weekend.
The NFL is considering adding two more games, which would push the big game into mid-February.
The Phoenix Open has been weather-challenged the past two years. A later start is no guarantee of better weather, but it would mean more daylight to play golf if frost holds up the tournament.
This year's tournament was extended into Monday because of frost delays at the TPC Scottsdale the first three days of the tournament.
