Van Pelt, former champ Grady withdraw from PGA

MEDINAH, Ill. -- Former winner Wayne Grady of Australia and American Bo Van Pelt pulled out of the PGA Championship on Tuesday.

Grady, who clinched his only major title at Shoal Creek in 1990, withdrew with a wrist injury and Van Pelt has returned home to be with his wife, Carrie, after the birth of their third child.

They have been replaced in the Medinah field by Americans Jonathan Byrd and Bob Estes.

The 88th PGA Championship starts on Thursday
