Riley's a dad -- and it won't affect Ryder Cup
LAS VEGAS -- By the time Chris Riley tees it up in the Ryder Cup, he might be used to being a father.
Riley, who tied for fourth at the PGA Championship to earn a spot on his first Ryder Cup team, became a first-time father late last week when his wife gave birth to a girl.
Riley's agent, Bud Martin at SFX Golf, said mother and daughter were doing fine. Taylor Lynn Riley was born Thursday night, weighing in at 6 pounds, 10 ounces and 18 inches long.
The due date had been Sept. 17 -- the first day of the Ryder Cup matches. Michelle Riley, a former LPGA Tour player, had told her husband to go to Oakland Hills regardless.
