Ochoa withdraws with neck injury
HUTCHINSON, Kan. -- Lorena Ochoa of Mexico withdrew from the U.S. Women's Open on Friday because of a neck injury.
Ochoa, a two-time winner on the Futures Tour, shot a 7-over-par 77 in the opening round Thursday.
The 20-year-old from Guadalajara, Mexico, was playing in her second U.S. Open. A five-time world junior champion, Ochoa played in the 2000 Open and missed the cut with rounds of 75 and 78.
