ST. CATHARINES, Ontario -- Liz Earley shot her second straight 2-under 70 on her home course Wednesday for a one-stroke victory over Lorie Kane in the Canadian PGA women's championship.

Earley, a former LPGA Tour player, made a 10-foot bogey putt on the final hole to avoid a playoff with Kane, the LPGA Tour star who won the event five of the last six years.

"I've had that putt a million times,'' said Earley, a member of the Catharines Golf and Country Club for the last 23 years. "I was really confident about making it. I wasn't nervous.''

Kane also closed with a 70 in the 36-hole tournament.
