Tiger Woods (1) vs.
Stephen Leaney (12)
1:20 p.m. There's no way you can pick against Woods this week. He's staying conservative on the damp course and hasn't made a bogey in two days. Leaney is coming off a big 6 and 5 win over Justin Leonard.
Scott Hoch (7) vs.
Toshi Izawa (14)
1:30 p.m. They don't have too much in common, but neither is a stranger to Match Play pressure. Hoch has been to the quarterfinals (2000), while Izawa has won at least one match each of the three times he's played the event.

Peter Lonard (8) vs.
Robert Allenby (4)
2 p.m. You can bet the galleries won't be following this group Friday, but each has played solid, steady golf over the first two rounds.
Darren Clarke (7) vs.
Jim Furyk (3)
2:10 p.m. One of Friday's best matchups, if not the best. It pits Clarke -- who's playing with a lot of confidence and deadly accuracy -- against Furyk, who's won each of his two matches very comfortably. Clarke won his second-round match against Davis Love III 7 and 6, the biggest rout of the week.

Nick Price (4) vs.
Jay Haas (16)
1:40 p.m. A clash of fortysomethings. Price is the last player in the bracket seeded lower than 11th, while Haas is the final 16th seed remaining in the field.
Adam Scott (11) vs.
Kevin Sutherland (15)
1:50 p.m. Matchup of two guys not many people picked to make it this far. Sutherland (8-0 at La Costa) has proven last year's Match Play title was no fluke, while the 22-year-old Aussie Scott improved his Match Play record to 3-1 with Thursday's win.

Phil Mickelson (1) vs.
Jerry Kelly (5)
2:20 p.m. Mickelson has never made it out of the third round, while Kelly is coming off a win over the red-hot Mike Weir.
David Toms (2) vs.
Alex Cejka (14)
2:30 p.m. Toms is the final No. 2 seed left in the field, looking to follow up on his quarterfinal berth at last year's Match Play.
