Tiger Woods (1) vs.
Scott Hoch (7)
10:10 a.m. When Woods got to the finals here in 2000, it took him 21 holes to get past Paul Lawrie in the quarters. Hoch figures to provide a similar challenge (Ironically, in that same 2000 tournament, Hoch lost in the quarterfinals 5 and 4 to David Duval). Both players sizzled Friday -- Woods routed Stephen Leaney and Hoch blitzed Toshi Izawa. Woods has lost just four holes in his first three matches.

Jay Haas (16) vs.
Adam Scott (11)
10:20 a.m. Old vs. new. And two players who have survived pressure-packed matches to get here. The 16th-seeded Haas hit a remarkable tee shot on the 20th hole Friday to oust Nick Price. Scott, the second-youngest player in the field, has won three consecutive nail-biters, including the 2-and-1 victory Friday over defending champ Kevin Sutherland. All of his matches have gone to at least the 16th hole.

Peter Lonard (8) vs.
Darren Clarke (7)
10:30 a.m. It's been feast or famine for Clarke in this event; he won in 2000, but lost in the first round the other two years. He seems poised to make a title run this year after his tough victory over Jim Furyk. Neither player led by more than a hole until the 18th. Lonard is also battle-tested; he survived a tight match with Robert Allenby, winning the 17th hole to take the match.

Jerry Kelly (5) vs.
David Toms (2)
10:40 a.m. Neither player has been this far in a match-play event. But both seems comfortable. Kelly methodically beat Mickelson, going 1-up at the eighth and building it to 3-up through 14. Toms won the final two holes of his match to defeat Cejka, overcoming a bout with food poisoning Thursday night.
