Immelman holds two-shot edge; Els third despite bogey binge
VIRGINIA WATER, England -- South Africa's Trevor Immelman closed with three straight birdies in a round of 8-under-par 64 Saturday and held a two-shot lead after three rounds of the Volvo PGA Championship.
Immelman was at 14-under 202, two strokes ahead of Sweden's Niclas Fasth, who shot a 4-under 68.
Ernie Els overcame three straight bogeys on the front nine with an eagle and six birdies for a 5-under 67, and was tied with Spain's Ignacio Garrido (66) in third place at 11 under.
England's Paul Casey (64), Sweden's Mathias Gronberg and Scottish veteran Gordon Brand Jr. (68) were tied for fifth place at 10-under 206.
