Boros 11th champ in 11 events
FINDLEY LAKE, N.Y. -- Guy Boros charged back from five-strokes down Sunday, birdieing his final two holes for a 2-under-par 70 and a victory in the Lake Erie Charity Classic.
Boros finished the tournament at 13-under 275 for his second career win on the Nationwide Tour, one stroke ahead of Bob Heintz and Chris Couch, who shot a Sunday-best 67 at Peek 'n Peak Resort.
Third-round leader Stan Utley bogeyed six of his final 10 holes, missing a chance to force a playoff when his birdie putt on the 18th hole came up well short. He three-putted to finish with a 77, tied with Roland Thatcher and Scott Sterling at 277.
Boros became the 11th different winner in 11 events on the Nationwide Tour this season.
