ESPN RISE Announces Chauncey Billups and Kenny Anderson will Coach Boost Mobile Elite 24 Teams

Inaugural Slam Dunk Contest Scheduled: ESPN RISE ALL-AMERICAN SLAM DUNK CONTEST
ESPN RISE announced today that basketball stars Chauncey Billups and Kenny Anderson will coach the nation's elite high school basketball players during the Boost Mobile Elite 24. Billups will coach the Blue Team/Skip To My Lou with Lincoln High School coach Dwayne "Tiny" Morton, and Anderson will coach the White Team/The GOAT with Benjamin Cardozo High School coach Ron Naclerio.
The Boost Mobile Elite 24 game will re-air on ESPN2 late night Monday, August 25 at midnight EDT. ESPNU's Dwayne Ballen (play-by-play) and Paul Biancardi (analyst) will call the game, joined by MSG Networks' Summerball anchor Bobbito Garcia, who has called the Boost Mobile Elite 24 since its premiere game in 2006.
For the first time, the Boost Mobile Elite 24 will host a Slam Dunk Contest â¬" the ESPN RISE All-American Slam Dunk Contest â¬" August 22 at 6:30 p.m. â¬" prior to the main event's 8:00 p.m. tip-off. The contest will feature the four best dunkers selected from the Boost Mobile Elite 24 roster who will compete against dunkers from the Entertainer's Basketball Classic (EBC). The contest will have two rounds with two dunks per round, scoring is non-cumulative and only the top four players will advance to the final round; the player with the high score in the final round will win the contest. Boost Mobile Elite 24 players will be selected on Thursday, August 21 during a qualifier judged by their peers. Billups, Anderson and Boost Mobile Elite 24 alum and Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Kevin Love will judge the contest.
