Editor's note: The ESPN RISE FAB 50 boys' basketball rankings are compiled by Christopher Lawlor, Ronnie Flores, Ryan Canner-O'Mealy and Doug Huff. They will be released each Tuesday throughout the season.

The ESPN RISE FAB 50 boys' basketball rankings are beginning to take shape but there's plenty of action remaining especially in the Midwest.

In New Jersey, No. 3 St. Patrick (Elizabeth) played in Monday's Tournament of Champions final against Science Park (Newark), the Group 2 champion. St. Patrick prevailed, 73-57, winning its first TOC since 2007.

No. 4 Westchester (Los Angeles) annexed its fifth CIF Division I championship, crushing defending champion McClymonds (Oakland) by 18 points. The Comets return four starters from a team which won their 10th City Section title last month.

Three teams, all state champions, join the ESPN RISE rankings. No. 22 Holmes (Covington, Ky.) after winning Kentucky's single-class state title. Holmes is another team which returns a wealth of talent from a championship club.

This weekend, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana wrap up their postseason tournaments. Expect the East and Midwest regions to receive a jolt. New York crowned state champions last week but this weekend they will convene for the New York State Federation finals at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

The final shot will be delivered in the inaugural ESPN RISE National High School Invitational beginning on April 3. Four of the eight NHSI teams are ranked in the top-10, including No. 1 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) and No. 2 Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), whom may meet in the final on April 5 in North Bethesda, Md.

Three-point play

Game ball: Joe Jackson of White Station (Memphis, Tenn.) showed why he is one of the nation's elite juniors with a stellar performance in Tennessee's Class AAA tournament, earning him ESPN RISE player of the week honors. Jackson scored 35 points as White Station upended Raleigh-Egypt (Memphis), 64-61, in overtime claiming its fifth state crown this decade.

Jackson, the tournament's Most Valuable Player, knocked down 10 of 17 shots and 14 of 18 free throws and grabbed five rebounds in the final. Jackson, an ESPNU 60 guard, also scored 22 points in the semifinals and had 25 points (on 11 of 18 shooting), seven assists and three steals in the quarterfinals.

Games of the week: Indiana's state tournament series turns 99 years old Saturday with four championship games at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The smaller schools play in the opening session, tipping 10:30 a.m. ET with the Class A game between Triton (Bourbon) and Jac-Cen-Del (Osgood), followed by the 2A final pitting defending champion Bishop Luers (Fort Wayne) and Brownstown Central.

Session II begins at 6 p.m. with the Class 3A final, pairing Rochester and unbeaten Princeton. Then it'll be No. 14 Bloomington South (25-0) playing Snider (Fort Wayne) in the 4A final.

Updates: Jeronne Maymon of Memorial (Madison, Wis.) scored 25 points on 11 for 19 shooting and collected 12 rebounds to lead the Spartans (26-1) to Wisconsin's Division 1 championship with a victory over Horlick (Racine). Memorial has advanced to the states the last six years with five finals' berths and two titles. The 6-foot-7 Maymon, a Marquette recruit, was recently named Wisconsin's 2009 Mr. Basketball.

Eisenhower (Rialto, Calif.), No. 11 in the West Region, won the CIF Division II title with a 73-61 victory over Rocklin. Ike became the first team from San Bernardino County to win a state boys' basketball title. The ring-leader was Creighton-bound Andrew Bock, who had 17 points, three assists and three steals in the final.

Regionally-ranked Princeton (Cincinnati) captured an Ohio Division 1 regional crown, defeating LaSalle (Cincinnati), 64-60, as Orlando Williams tossed in 22 points and junior Jordan Siebert, an Ohio State recruit, tallied 18. Princeton meets St. John's (Toledo) Friday in the state semifinals in Columbus.

Whitney Young (Chicago) finished 26-9 playing a national-themed schedule, but it paid off as the Dolphins won the Class 4A state title, beating Waukegan, 69-66. Senior Marcus Jordan, son of Michael Jordan, led the way with 19 points and five rebounds. Seven of Young's losses were to out-of-state teams ranked by ESPN RISE. … Centennial (Champaign, Ill.) won the Class 3A title, edging Oswego, 61-59, in the final. Senior guard Rayvonte Rice led the way with 21 points and five steals and James Kinney contributed 18 points and six assists.

Elsewhere, the 2009 World Select roster that will play in the 12th Nike Hoop Summit against U.S. high school players from the Class of 2009 on April 11 in Portland, Ore., was announced Monday:

Guards include Matias Nocedal and Mateo Gaynor of Argentina; Edwin Jackson of France and Nikos Pappas of Greece. Forwards are Mamadou Samb of Senegal, Tomislav Zubcic of Croatia, Milan Macvan of Serbia and Donatas Motiejunas of Lithuania. Centers are Kevin Seraphin of France and Zhang Dayu of China. The World Team will be coached for the fifth consecutive year by Australian Rob Beveridge. The U.S. teams hold a 9-2 edge all-time.

Records are through March 22.

Coach Kevin Boyle's team jumped to an 18-7 lead after one and was never threatened. Junior guard Kyree Irving struck for 20 points and sophomore Michael Gilchrist had 13 points and 11 rebounds. They played Science Park, the Group 2 champion, Monday night for the TOC and rolled to an easy win at the Izod Center in East Rutherford.
4	Westchester (Los Angeles)	35-2	5	The Comets clamped down on defense and claimed their fifth CIF Division I state championship, throttling previous-No. 10 McClymonds (Oakland), 49-31. Dominique O'Connor pumped points 16 points and junior Dwayne Polee Jr. had nine points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. The Comets raced to a 24-11 lead at the break and led by 15 points after three quarters. Season complete.
5	St. Benedict's (Newark, N.J.)	23-2	4	The Gray Bees are idle until the National High School Invitational which tips on April 3 when they face No. 28 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) in the quarterfinals on ESPNU, 6 p.m. ET.
6	Rice (Manhattan, N.Y.)	23-3	7	The New York Catholic High School Athletic Association Class AA intersectional champions play Lincoln (Brooklyn), the PSAL winner, Saturday in the New York State Federation tournament semifinals at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The winner plays Newburgh Free Academy in the federation final Sunday, 2 p.m. ET.
7	DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.)	31-4	6	The Stags placed third at the Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament, topping Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.), 65-61, in the consolation game. They lost to No. 28 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore), 64-58, in the semifinals but whipped Bishop Walsh (Cumberland), 83-50, in the first round. Naji Hibbert, a Texas A&M recruit, was named all-tournament. Season complete.
8	Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.)	20-2	8	Idle. Next up is the National High School Invitational on April 3 against No. 40 Friends Central (Wynnewood, Pa.).
9	Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.)	29-5	9	The Purple Eagles defended their Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament crown, beating No. 28 St. Frances Academy (Baltimore), 66-56. The Eagles became the fifth team to win back to back titles. Princeton-bound forward Ian Hummer repeated as MVP, collecting 15 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks in the final, while Malcolm Lemmons added 15 points, making 7-of-8 free throws in the fourth quarter. They also defeated Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.), 66-43, in the semifinals and Cathedral (Hamilton, Ont., Canada), 79-54, in the first round. Season complete.
10	Christ the King (Middle Village, N.Y.)	25-4	11	The Royals lost to in the New York CHSAA Class AA final, but did win the Brooklyn-Queens Diocesan Tournament. Season complete.
11	Yates (Houston)	34-1	13	The Lions won the Texas Class 4A state title, peeling off 17 straight victories to end the season. Season complete.
12	Christ School (Arden, N.C.)	36-2	12	The Greenies won their third straight North Carolina Independent Schools 3A title. Season complete.
13	South Atlanta (Atlanta)	29-3	14	The Hornets won Georgia's Class AAA state title. This week, center Derrick Favors will be named the 2009 Naismith National Player of the Year, presented by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Season complete.
14	Bloomington South (Bloomington, Ind.)	25-0	15	The Panthers held off Franklin Central (Indianapolis), 58-55, the Class 4A semi-state. Jordan Hulls, an Indiana recruit, had 20 points and four assists. South will play Snider (Fort Wayne) Saturday in the 4A final.
15	Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.)	28-0	16	The Royals rolled to an 88-68 victory over Wayzata (Plymouth) in a Class 4A sectional tournament, qualifying for the state quarterfinals vs. Blaine. Hopkins was led by Minnesota-bound Royce White's 16 points and Trent Lockett, an Arizona State signee, added 15 points. The Royals have won three state titles this decade, but the last two years they bowed in the sectionals.
16	Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, Mich.)	24-1	17	The Yellowjackets captured their fifth straight Class B regional title with an 83-40 rout of Academy (Oak Park). Jordan Dumars scored 15 and Ray McCallum 13 for Country Day. DCD plays Powers Catholic (Flint) Tuesday in the Class B quarterfinals, with a spot in the Final Four on the line.
17	Martin Luther King (Riverside, Calif.)	30-0	18	The Wolves advanced to the CIF Southern California Region, Division I final. They also won the CIF-Southern Section, Division I title. Season complete.
18	Taft (Woodland Hills, Calif.)	27-5	19	The Toreadors advanced to the loaded CIF Southern California Region, Division I semifinals. Season complete.
19	Butler (Huntsville, Ala.)	34-3	20	The Rebels won their second straight Class 5A championship. Season complete.
20	Lake Clifton (Baltimore)	28-0	21	The Lakers captured the Maryland Class 3A tournament. Season complete.
21	Northland (Columbus, Ohio)	25-1	23	The Vikings pocketed a Division 1 regional crown with a hard-fought 54-53 overtime victory against Dublin Scioto. Junior Jared Sullinger had 17 points, 20 rebounds and six blocks and J. D. Weatherspoon scored 17 with eight rebounds and Trey Burke had 15 points. Next up is Warren G. Harding (Warren) Friday in the state semifinals in Columbus.
22	Holmes (Covington, Ky.)	36-2	39	The Bulldogs captured their first all-class state championship by outlasting Louisville Central, 67-63, in a double-overtime thriller in the Sweet Sixteen final before 15,632 at Rupp Arena in Lexington. The Bulldogs set a school record for wins (36) while savoring the first crown after three runner-up finishes, most recently in 2008. Ricardo Johnson, the MVP, averaged 13.3 points and eight rebounds in four games. Season complete.
23	Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)	31-2	24	The Monarchs won the Trinity League title and three in-season tournaments. They also enjoyed a 30-game win streak to open the season. Season complete.
24	Pershing (Detroit)	23-1	30	The Doughboys captured a Class A regional title, routing Southeastern (Detroit), 92-59. Keith Appling led the way with 30 points and six rebounds; Derrick Nix had 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocks; and Juwan Howard Jr. totaled 10 points. Next up is De La Salle (Warren) Tuesday in Michigan's Class A quarterfinals.
25	Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia)	26-3	14	The Saints won the Philadelphia Catholic League championship going undefeated in league play and advanced to the PIAA Class AAA quarterfinals before being upset. Season complete.
