SEPT 27

The best show nobody is watching returns to DIRECTV for 13 new episodes, which will then be aired on NBC in early 2009. Which is good news, because what's TV without Tim Riggins?

OCT 17
[ DEERFIELD BEACH AT ST. THOMAS AQUINAS FOR FLORIDA SUPREMACY ]
Preseason No. 8 Deerfield Beach (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) has beaten its Broward County rival, No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), three times in the last four years.

JAN 03
[ U.S. ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL ON NBC ]
Now in its ninth year, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has an alumni list full of stars like Adrian Peterson, Vince Young and Reggie Bush. This year's contest will be aired on NBC at 1 p.m. EST.

JAN 04
[ UNDER ARMOUR ALL-AMERICA GAME ON ESPN ]
The second-year game has already received commitments from an impressive collection of top recruits, including Matt Barkley and Russell Shepard. It will be shown on ESPN at 8 p.m. EST.

FEB 04
[ NATIONAL SIGNING DAY ]
Despite more recruits committing to schools earlier than ever, this is still the biggest day in high school football recruiting. Then again, players could announce they're still deciding like stud recruit Terrelle Pryor did last year.
