Aquinas moves to No. 2 after win over Deerfield Beach

Updated: October 21, 2008, 3:12 PM ET

Talk about avenging a loss. The St. Thomas Aquinas football team of Fort Lauderdale did that so impressively Friday that the Raiders have edged in front of Georgia's Lowndes High for the No. 2 spot in this week's ESPN RISE FAB 50 national rankings.

Head coach George Smith's team faced unbeaten Deerfield Beach in a Florida showdown of ranked squads and memories of the only loss the Raiders suffered last year were completely erased in a 65-10 romp. Senior wide receiver Duron Carter hauled in a 65-yard touchdown catch while junior running back Giovanni Bernard had a rushing score and a 70-yard punt return to get the rout under way.

Lowndes didn't play over the weekend, which also helped elevate St. Thomas Aquinas in the voting as the Raiders received 243 points from the five panelists compared to 241 for the Vikings.

For St. Thomas Aquinas to surpass season-long FAB 50 No. 1 Trinity of Euless, Texas, however, it probably will take Trinity losing in the Class 5A Division I state playoffs in Texas. The Trojans already have several quality wins of their own, including ones against Allen of Texas and John Curtis of River Ridge, La.

This week's ESPN RISE FAB 50 also is highlighted by six new teams that broke into the rankings. The highest of those is previously mentioned Allen of Texas, which knocked off previous No. 15 Plano of Texas 56-23, in a game witnessed by 15,000 at John Clark Stadium in Plano.

ESPN RISE FAB 50

The ESPN RISE FAB 50 rankings were compiled by a panel of ESPN RISE and ESPN.com high school editors, which includes Mark Tennis, Doug Huff, Chris Lawlor, Jon Mahoney, Sheldon Shealer, Ronnie Flores and Paul Muyskens.

1. Trinity (Euless, Texas)
Record:
7-0
Points: 250, five first-place votes
Previous rank: 1

The Euless Trinity faithful may have squirmed a bit in their seats when lightly regarded Keller Central went right down the field and took a 7-0 lead on its first drive, but after that it was business as usual as the top-ranked Trojans ripped off 49 unanswered points on the way to an easy district victory. Trinity's balanced offense clicked on all cylinders behind QB Denarius McGhee, who hit on 16 of 21 passes for 206 yards and two touchdown passes. Four different players rushed for scores as the Trojans ground out 251 yards on the ground. Trinity is at winless Grapevine Friday.

2. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
Record:
6-0
Points: 243
Previous rank: 3

It was a battle of top 10 FAB 50-ranked teams featuring some of the top players in the state, but it turned out to be one-sided as the Raiders destroyed FAB 50 No. 10 Deerfield Beach 65-10 at Brian Piccolo Stadium. The last two regular-season games between these two were decided in the final quarter, but this game was over when Aquinas led 44-3 at the half. Senior WR Duron Carter reeled in a 65-yard touchdown reception and junior RB Giovanni Bernard added two touchdowns, one on a short 3-yard run and the other on a 70-yard punt return. Next on the slate for Aquinas is a home contest against South Broward.

3. Lowndes (Valdosta, Ga.)
Record:
7-0
Points: 241
Previous rank: 2

The Vikings were idle this week coming off a hard-fought 14-7 victory over rival Valdosta in the "Winnersville Classic." Greg Reid & Co. look to extend their school-record 21-game win streak against Houston County on Friday night.

4. Gateway (Monroeville, Pa.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 234
Previous rank: 4

The Gators racked up nearly 500 total yards of offense in a 56-3 win over Connellsville. Gateway junior RB Orne Bey ran for 149 yards and two touchdowns. The Gators should finally be tested this Thursday when they host McKeesport, which comes into the game sporting a 7-1 mark and hasn't lost to an in-state opponent this season.

5. Byrnes (Duncan, S.C.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 232
Previous rank: 5

Junior QB Chas Dodd threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns and RB Marcus Lattimore rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns as Byrnes routed Hillcrest 48-7. This week will feature a meeting of undefeated teams as Byrnes travels to 8-0 Dorman. Will Dorman be a legit test or another game similar to when Byrnes played Pahokee of Florida and won without much doubt?

6. Poly (Long Beach, Calif.)
Record:
6-0
Points: 223
Previous rank: 6

It looks as though the Jackrabbits have clearly played the toughest part of their regular season and barring a major mishap should be 10-0 and top-seeded heading into the CIF Southern Section Pac-Five Division playoffs. Poly rolled to a 50-7 win Friday over Millikan behind Melvin Richardson's two rushing TDs plus a 51-yard scoring jaunt by Cory Westbrook and an 80-yard TD pass from Morgan Fennell to Kaelin Clay. Head coach Raul Lara's team plays at longtime city rival Wilson in this week's game.

7. Armwood (Seffner, Fla.)
Record:
7-0
Points: 221
Previous rank: 7

After giving up six points last week to Tampa Bay Tech, the stingy Hawks' defense pitched a 35-0 shutout over Plant City. Senior DB Angelo Hadley picked off two passes and returned one 35 yards for a score to lead the defense. Armwood goes on the road to take on Hillsborough in district action on Friday.

8. Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, Va.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 216
Previous rank: 8

Senior running back Perry Jones turned in a four-TD performance, leading Oscar Smith to a 40-6 victory over Nansemond River. Jones also rushed for 150 yards. Junior QB Phillip Sims shined as well by passing for 195 yards and a pair of scores. The Tigers' chances of a undefeated regular season look promising since the remaining two opponents have combined for five wins, one of those being a head-to-head matchup. Oscar Smith visits Deep Creek Friday.

9. Glenville (Cleveland)
Record:
9-0
Points: 210
Previous rank: 9

The Tarblooders continue to dominate their Senate League rivals. Glenville blanked East Tech 47-0, for its fifth shutout in the past seven games. During that run, the Tarblooders have allowed only 12 points. Glenville, ranked No. 1 in the state Division 1 poll, closes regular-season play Friday against Cleveland East before opening a playoff quest for the school's first-ever state football championship.

10. Lake Travis (Austin, Texas)
Record:
8-0
Points: 203
Previous rank: 12

The beat rolled on for the Cavaliers, the No. 1-ranked 4A team in Texas, as Lake Travis blasted previously 5-1 Pflugerville Hendrickson 57-0 Friday night. Senior QB Garrett Gilbert's assault on opposing defenses continued, as the Elite 11 selection hit 20 of his 29 pass attempts for 376 yards and five touchdowns. The Lake Travis defense limited Hendrickson to just 176 yards and posted its second-straight shutout. The Cavs are off this week before hosting Dripping Springs on Halloween. Dripping Springs is currently undefeated and tied atop the District 25-4A standings with Lake Travis.

11. St. Xavier (Louisville, Ky.)
Record:
6-0
Points: 202
Previous rank: 11

Kentucky's No. 1-ranked team was idle last weekend. Up next is city rival Pleasure Ridge Park. The Tigers have allowed only 19 points in their six victories.

12. Camden County (Kingsland, Ga.)
Record:
7-0
Points: 193
Previous rank: 13

The scoreboard operator at Gilman Stadium was busy Friday night as the Wildcats pounded Johnson County 78-6. Senior RB Greg Baker ran for three scores for the juggernaut run-oriented offense. Camden County will host Jenkins on Friday.

13. South Panola (Batesville, Miss.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 191
Previous rank: 14

The Wildcats used a couple of big plays to dispatch Groves 42-21. Jeremy Mobley returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown, and safety Michael Green picked off a pair of passes to guide the defense. Camden County welcomes Johnson-Savannah to Gilman Stadium this Friday night. Both teams are undefeated in Region 3 action.

14. Skyline (Sammamish, Wash.)
Record:
7-0
Points: 184
Previous rank: 18

A sold-out crowd of more than 4,200 fans came to see a battle of two undefeated teams, but instead they witnessed yet another big win by the Spartans, who defeated Issaquah 38-0. Coming into the contest, the Eagles' offense was averaging 35 points and nearly 400 yards a game. But the Spartans' defense was unyielding once again, allowing only 57 total yards and recording its fifth shutout of the season. Junior QB Jake Heaps had another great outing, completing 11 of 13 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns to four different receivers and also adding another TD on the ground. The Spartans, who clinched at least a share of the KingCo 4A Crest Division title, will face Redmond in their final regular-season contest Friday.

15. Centennial (Corona, Calif.)
Record:
6-0
Points: 177
Previous rank: 19

It was another easy win for the Huskies in their new league, this one 38-8 over M.L. King. Senior running back Arthur Burns rushed for 120 yards on 19 carries and scored twice to lead the offense. Senior WR Ricky Marvray added a pair of TD catches from QB Taylor Martinez and showed his paces on a long kickoff return TD that came back on a penalty. Centennial has what should be another easy game Friday against Riverside Poly.

16. Lakeland (Lakeland, Fla.)
Record:
6-0
Points: 174
Previous rank: 17

Coach Bill Castle's team was off last weekend. The Dreadnaughts rallied to avoid an upset in their most recent game with a 15-14 win over crosstown foe Lake Gibson. Lakeland battles George Jenkins on Friday night.

17. Phoebus (Hampton, Va.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 166
Previous rank: 22

The Phantoms poured it on Menchville, scoring on the first eight possessions, and ran away with a 63-0 victory. The Phantoms led 42-0 at halftime, and seven players scored touchdowns en route to the lopsided victory. The Daily Press reported that Phoebus held Menchville to minus-42 rushing yards for the game. Phoebus plays host to Kecoughtan on Friday, and although Kecoughtan gave one-loss Hampton fits, the Phantoms are heavily favored.

18. St. Ignatius (Cleveland)
Record:
8-1
Points: 163
Previous rank: 21

The Wildcats were pressed by defending state Division 1 champion St. Xavier of Cincinnati before prevailing 19-16 in overtime. The win clinched a postseason playoff berth for the 21st straight season for the nine-time state Division 1 titlists and also ended a six-game regular-season losing streak to the Bombers. Senior running back Patrick Hinkel's 2-yard TD in overtime ended the contest following a Bomber field goal in the extra period. Hinkel also had a pass interception. Senior safety Dan Fox, a Notre Dame recruit, had two interceptions. Wildcats QB Andrew Holland completed 12 of 25 passes for 126 yards and a TD. St. Ignatius ends regular-season play Saturday against rival St. Edward.

19. Bellarmine Prep (San Jose, Calif.)
Record:
6-0
Points: 161
Previous rank: 23

Yes, they do ring a bell every time the Bells get a touchdown and they got three of them from Stanford-bound RB Usua Amanam in a 27-16 win Friday at Valley Christian. Amanam's 138 yards on 21 carries plus his TD runs of 2, 13 and 17 yards helped push Bellarmine to a win over a team that was unbeaten and No. 9 in the state top 25. Head coach Mike Janda's team won't be resting easy this week as it will face Junipero Serra on Friday. Serra lost a game earlier this year by just one point to FAB 50-ranked De La Salle of Concord.

20. Maryville (Maryville, Tenn.)
Record:
9-0
Points: 158
Previous rank: 20

Senior WR/DB Chris Jordan scored three touchdowns as Maryville defeated South Doyle 42-0, extending the Rebels' winning streak to 69 games. Jordan scored touchdowns on an interception return, kickoff return and a receiving touchdown. The Rebels finish up their regular season when they travel to play Lenoir City on Oct. 31.

21. Elder (Cincinnati)
Record:
8-1
Points: 146
Previous rank: 28

The Panthers captured their seventh straight victory with a 48-14 pounding of Cleveland Benedictine. Elder rolled out to a 28-0 halftime lead before padding the cushion to 41-0 entering the fourth quarter. Junior quarterback Mark Miller passed for three touchdowns. Elder closes regular-season play Friday against city rival Western Hills.

22. North Shore (Houston, Texas)
Record:
5-0
Points: 143
Previous rank: 29

Winless Channelview, new to Class 5A after being realigned in the offseason, was no match for North Shore on Friday night, as the Mustangs rolled to a 38-0 win to extend their state-record regular-season winning streak to 75 games. North Shore's defense allowed just 165 yards and intercepted three passes in posting its first shutout of the season, while senior QB Alex Tillman led the offense, accounting for 256 yards and passing for two scores. Baytown Sterling visits this Friday.

23. Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.)
Record:
4-1
Points: 141
Previous rank: 25

The Ironmen were off last week and get back to the action on the road Saturday against Ridgewood. Bosco is sporting a four-game winning streak and has scored 84 points in its past two games. Meanwhile, the defense has limited opponents to just three points in those two contests.

24. Permian (Odessa, Texas)
Record:
7-0
Points: 135
Previous rank: 30

Home-standing Lubbock High entered Friday night's tilt with mighty Permian winless, but the Westerners put up a good fight before succumbing 35-14. Senior QB Trevor Adams and the Permian passing game was ineffective most of the night, as Adams threw three interceptions, one that was returned for a score, but senior running back Sherard Ray picked up the slack, rushing for 170 yards on 23 carries and putting the game away in the fourth quarter with a 24-yard TD run. Lubbock Coronado visits Mojo Friday.

25. Arrowhead (Hartland, Wis.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 128
Previous rank: 27

The defending state Division 1 champion Warhawks ran their veer offense to near perfection, rolling to a 31-6 lead midway through the third quarter before posting a 31-21 victory over previously unbeaten Catholic Memorial. Senior running back Calvin Ramsey rushed 16 times for 154 yards and two first-quarter touchdowns. Junior Brian Crook carried 15 times for 101 yards and a 58-yard score. Arrowhead closes regular-season play Wednesday against Pius XI.

26. Stone Bridge (Ashburn, Va.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 120
Previous rank: 33

Although Madison never really threatened Stone Bridge, the Northern Virginia power used a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to put away its pesky league rivals in a 35-0 contest. Michael Prince put the finishing touches on the scoring with a 93-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. He finished with 125 yards on four carries and three scores -- two rushing, one receiving. The 35-point output is the lowest this season for Stone Bridge and marks the team's closest game since a 42-28 season-opening win over West Springfield. Stone Bridge visits Thomas Jefferson on Friday.

27. Prattville (Prattville, Ala.)
Record:
7-1
Points: 118
Previous rank: 32

Led by senior running back Jerodis Williams, the Lions dispatched Lanier 50-20, heading into their showdown with unbeaten Central. The early advantage goes to Prattville, which has won 14 straight home games. Another standard was extended Friday as the Lions made it 48 straight Region 4 victories (eight straight years) as the defense dominated early and the reserves played most of the second half. Although the 20 points were the most allowed this season -- including a 15-10 setback to St. Xavier in the season opener -- none were scored against the starters. Williams carried the ball only nine times but gained 132 yards and scored twice. Central will be the final regular-season game for Prattville, which then will begin its quest for a third-straight state 6A title.

28. De La Salle (Concord, Calif.)
Record:
5-1
Points: 112
Previous rank: 34

Judging from how the Spartans squeaked by against two quality opponents to open the season and then their loss to Don Bosco Prep, it figured to be a close game when they played another quality opponent Friday. But Foothill (4-1 coming in) was completely outclassed. De La Salle rolled 63-7 and looks like as if it may have fixed some of its earlier problems. Senior QB Blake Wayne completed 10 of 12 passes for 160 yards and two TDs and also scored two more times himself on close runs. The Spartans play Amador Valley Friday.

29. Plant (Tampa, Fla.)
Record:
5-1
Points: 110
Previous rank: 31

The Panthers topped Hillsborough 44-28 on Thursday night. The homecoming win was a costly one, however, as senior QB Aaron Murray, ESPNU 150 and Elite 11 member, suffered a season-ending leg injury. Before the injury, Murray had accounted for 300 yards and four scores in less than a half of the Panthers' fifth straight win. The Murray-less Panthers travel across town to play Leto Friday.

30. North Penn (Lansdale, Pa.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 110
Previous rank: 30

North Penn clinched at least a share of the Suburban One League Continental title with a 33-10 win over Souderton. The Knights gained 310 yards on the ground thanks to senior running back Tyler Smith, who ran for 196 yards and four touchdowns. North Penn plays Hatboro-Horsham on the road on Friday.

31. John T. Curtis (River Ridge, La.)
Record:
6-1
Points: 101
Previous rank: 35

Racing to a 31-0 lead at the half, the Patriots cruised to a 50-8 win over Riverside Academy. Curtis piled up 405 yards behind Kenny Cain and Evan Ingram. Cain scored on a 34-yard run before pulling in a 22-yard pass from Ingram. Ingram accounted for three scores, running for 20 yards himself in addition to finding Cain and connecting with Chris Guillot for 51-yard score. The defense has now allowed just 28 points in the past five games heading into Friday's contest against McDonogh.

32. Abilene (Abilene, Texas)
Record:
7-0
Points: 99
Previous rank: 38

The Eagles had the weekend off, but still jumped up six spots in the rankings, with a number of upsets helping out. Star linebacker Chris Williams used the downtime to figure out some things on the recruiting front, as the 6-1, 225-pounder made a commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers after considering LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M and many more. Haltom High visits Shotwell Stadium this Friday.

33. Good Counsel (Olney, Md.)
Record:
7-0
Points: 90
Previous rank: 42

A loss by former state No. 1 Quince Orchard allows Good Counsel to inherit the top ranking in Maryland for only the second time in school history. The Falcons, behind Jelani Jenkins' two touchdown runs and a big-play performance by Louis Young, handled Bishop McNamara 42-6. Young scored on a 40-yard pass and 75-yard interception return. Meanwhile, Quince Orchard, riding a 20-game win streak, was upset by league rival Sherwood 14-6. Good Counsel faces St. John's (D.C.) on Friday.

34. Maine South (Park Ridge, Ill.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 87
Previous rank: 39

Senior QB Charlie Goro completed 27 of 42 passes for a school-record 469 yards and five touchdowns as the No. 1-ranked team in Illinois routed New Trier 55-24 to claim its eighth straight Central Suburban title. The Hawks' quarterback has now passed for 1,844 yards and 23 TDs this season. South closes regular-season play Friday against Niles West.

35. The Woodlands (The Woodlands, Texas)
Record:
6-0
Points: 81
Previous rank: 40

Conroe Oak Ridge was no match for the speed of The Woodlands' defense and the balance of the Highlanders' offense on Friday, and the result was a 41-7 rout. UTEP-bound senior Andy McCloud continued his strong start to the year, passing for 179 yards and three touchdowns, while Daniel Lasco again found big holes in the running game, racing for 147 yards on just 12 carries with a score. The Woodlands has now outscored its first six opponents by a combined 245-50. Once-beaten Conroe High visits on Friday.

36. Allen (Allen, Texas)
Record:
6-1
Points: 75
Previous rank: nr

The Eagles soar into the rankings this week at No. 36 off a huge 56-23 win over previously FAB 50 No. 15 Plano. Junior QB Matt Brown passed for four scores and ran for two more in the big win, as Allen totaled 526 yards of offense while the defense forced five Plano turnovers. Brown totaled 40 touchdowns last fall as a sophomore to earn District 9-5A Offensive Player of the Year honors, and is off to a similarly impressive start this fall, having accounted for nearly 1,800 yards of total offense and 25 total TDs through seven games. While Allen has a loss on its résumé, the Eagles have the potential to skyrocket even further up the charts in the coming weeks should they continue to win, as that loss was a 24-14 decision versus FAB 50 No. 1 Euless Trinity back in mid-September. Dallas Jesuit visits Allen Friday.

37. Oceanside (Oceanside, Calif.)
Record:
6-0
Points: 66
Previous rank: 45

Previously unbeaten Westview was no match for the Pirates as they rolled to a 49-7 win. Head coach John Carroll's team led 35-0 at halftime and reserves played most of the second half. Senior QB Jordan Wynn had another strong outing by completing 16 of 24 passes for 222 yards and two TDs. He also scored on a 5-yard run. Junior RB Rene Siluano added 12 carries for 100 yards and another TD. Oceanside is favored to win its 18th straight game Friday against Mt. Carmel.

38. Madison County (Madison, Fla.)
Record:
5-0
Points: 59
Previous rank: 41

Bartram Trail put a scare into Madison County by getting out to a 10-0 lead at halftime. But Madison County's defense stepped it up in the second half by blanking Bartram Trail while putting up 20 points of its own en route to a 20-10 victory. Senior running back Cory Akins ran for 146 yards on 19 carries and scored on touchdown runs of 5 and 65 yards while senior running back Chris Thompson was out with an ankle injury, which he suffered in the first quarter. The Cowboys are scheduled to play at Fort White on Friday.

39. St. Bonaventure (Ventura, Calif.)
Record:
5-1
Points: 57
Previous rank: 46

Senior QB Logan Meyer passed for 268 yards and two TDs, both going to Drew Gibson, as the Seraphs bounced back from their loss to No. 6 Long Beach Poly with a 44-7 win over Buena. Buena had come into the contest with two straight shutouts, so the 44-point output was particularly impressive. Up next for head coach Todd Therrian's team is a game Friday versus Ventura High. It's a road game, but will be played at the same site that St. Bonaventure uses for its home games.

40. Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, Minn.)
Record:
8-0
Points: 52
Previous rank: 44

Mounds View was supposed to be a major stumbling block but it wasn't even a speed bump as the defense stepped up big time after allowing an unthinkable 46 points to Park in a wild 62-46 win the week before. The Raiders blocked three punts with Harry Pitera having a hand in all three. He himself smothered two that led to touchdowns and then picked up John Onwauala's ricochet, running it to the Mounds View 1-yard line before being stopped. The Raiders quickly scored again. Cretin-Derham Hall plays Hastings in a rare Tuesday game this week.

41. Union (Tulsa, Okla.)
Record
: 6-1
Points: 43
Previous rank: 47

It's a nice six-spot jump for the Redskins, who had no trouble racing past Choctaw 58-0. It was only the second shutout of the season for Union but in the past three games the Redskins have outscored their opponents a whopping 161-7. Junior QB Chase Boyce has passed for 1,269 yards for the top-rated 6A club in the state, which has won six in a row since losing to Broken Arrow which, in turn, has lost twice, including to Jenks, a team Union defeated in an early showdown 24-17. Next up is Ponca City on Friday.

42. South Pointe (Rock Hill, S.C.)
Record:

43. Centennial (Peoria, Ariz.)
Record:
7-0
Points: 41*
Previous rank: 49

The Coyotes did a nice job of not getting caught looking ahead as they downed Tolleson 38-0. Jourdon Grandon ran for one TD and passed for two more as Centennial rushed for more than 400 yards in the lopsided game. Coach Richard Taylor was able to give the starters some rest heading into Friday's showdown with undefeated Westview High. Westview set up the game of unbeatens by handling La Joya, which just two weeks ago was unbeaten before losing to Centennial and Westview. The Coyotes are 4-0 against Westview over the past three years.

44. Northside (Warner Robins, Ga.)
Record:
6-1
Points: 36
Previous rank: 48

The Eagles enjoyed a bye week following a 17-14 district win over Coffee a week ago. Northside returns to action Friday against Tift County.

The Hawklets scored 28 points in the first half and never looked back on their way to a 35-0 victory over Lee's Summit. Senior quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase ran for two touchdowns, including a 49-yarder, and tossed a 33-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Keith Langtry. Meanwhile, senior running back Chris Castellucio ran for 108 yards on 10 carries and scored on a 34-yard run. Rockhurst goes for its sixth straight win when it hosts Lee's Summit North on Friday.

46. Center Grove (Greenwood, Ind.)
Record:
8-1
Points: 29
Previous rank: NR

Senior running back Tanner Riley broke loose on an 80-yard TD run on the first play from scrimmage to start the Trojans on a 56-7 romp over state No. 4-ranked Warren Central. Riley ended with 276 yards and three scores on 16 carries for the Trojans, who had 491 yards on the ground. Fellow senior back Luke Swift contributed 137 yards and two TDs on 22 rushes. The Trojans, who have outscored foes by 425-108, open Class 5A sectional play this week against Terre Haute South, which lost 36-6 to Center Grove in the regular season.

47. Independence (Charlotte, N.C.)
Record
: 7-0
Points: 19
Previous rank: NR

The Pioneers close the regular season with a showdown against unbeaten state No. 2-ranked Lowell on Friday.

49. Jenks (Jenks, Okla.)
Record:
6-1
Points: 14
Previous rank: NR

A 63-0 win over Memorial in which the Trojans scored all of their points before the break and gave all of their starters a nice rest catapulted Jenks back into the FAB 50. Sophomore QB Sawyer Kollmorgen tossed TD passes of 9, 23 and 12 yards en route to a quick 6-for-9, 114-yard outing before handing the team over to transfer Beau Marsaln, who pitched touchdowns of 22 and 45 yards. Bartlesville is up next on Friday. Although Broken Arrow and Owasso are still very much in the mix, a rematch in the 6A title game of Union's 24-17 win over Jenks earlier this season would not surprise anyone. However, there is still a lot of football to be played before that possibility.

50. Bellevue (Bellevue, Wash.)
Record:
7-0
Points: 10
Previous rank: NR
