If you thought Potomac junior Devonta Tabannah was everywhere on the field last year, you haven't seen anything yet.

Last year, Tabannah played running back, receiver and defensive back in addition to handling punt and kickoff returns. For his senior season, Tabannah will add quarterback to his list of duties.

"He's a playmaker. Every time he touched the ball things happened for us," Potomac head coach Chris Davidson said. "Putting him at quarterback gives us another wrinkle we can use to split defenses."

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Tabannah accounted for 62 percent of Potomac's offense last season - accumulating 1,441 and 14 touchdowns.

Tabannah will be a three-year starter on the varsity football team next season. He started as a defensive back his sophomore year.

As a rising junior, Tabannah began making a name for himself at the Nike Baltimore Combine in the spring. Tabannah ran a 4.68 40-yard dash along with a 4.1 shuttle and a 33½-inch vertical jump.

Those totals were good enough to earn him an invitation to the Nike Penn State camp. The Nike Penn State camp brings together some of the Northeast region's top college prospects -- most of whom are rising seniors. He also attended the Under Armour camp.

According to Davidson, Akron is expected to make Tabannah an offer after national signing day (Feb 4). Davidson added that he expects Tabannah to have at least 15 offers by the time he makes his collegiate choice. Colleges are recruiting Tabannah as an athlete.

"He's already advanced and progressed past where he was [as a junior]," Davidson said. "I think people are going to be really excited after they see him perform."

Tabannah once again will participate in the Nike Baltimore Combine held on March 28, and Davidson said the plan is to take him to at least eight collegiate one-day camps throughout the spring and summer.
