How are the nations top quarterbacks progressing? Each week, ESPN RISE will track the performances of the 12 QBs who attended the 2009 Elite 11 quarterback event.

Performer of the Week

Dylan Favre
St. Stanislaus (Bay St. Louis, Miss.)

    34-of-51 for 549 yards and six TDs

    This week's national Elite 11 Performer of the Week got off to hot start in 2009 by setting a state record for single-game passing yards with 562 in a 50-7 route over Mendenhall (Miss.). In 2008, the 5-foot-10, 181-pound Favre, nephew of Brett, set a single-season record with 45 touchdown passes.

Barry Brunetti
Memphis University (Memphis, Tenn.)

College: West Virginia
In Brunetti's second game of action this year, the signal-caller completed 6-of-14 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown to lead his squad to a 47-8 route against Kingsbury (Memphis, Tenn.). Brunetti also ran for a score and finished with 30 rushing yards.

Robert Bolden
St. Mary's (Orchard Lake, Mich.)

College: Penn State
Bolden did a little of everything but it wasn't enough as the Eaglets lost to East Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, Mich.), 21-7. The Nittany Lion was 10-of-20 for 145 yards with an interception. Bolden scored his team's only touchdown on the ground.
Next game: Sept. 4 vs. Highland Park (Mich.)

Joe Boisture
Saline (Saline, Mich.)

College: Michigan State
Boisture was on point in his first action of the 2009 season, leading the Hornets to a 34-7 win over Belleville (Belleville, Mich.). He ran for two scores, but it was through the air he made the most difference, completing 21-of-32 passes for 216 yards and one score.
Next Game: Sept. 4 at Adrian (Mich.)

Devin Gardner
Inkster (Inkster, Mich.)

College: Michigan
The future Wolverine did everything he could to help Inkster pull out a victory against Pioneer (Ann Arbor, Mich.). Gardner put his team in the lead with 1:30 left on his lone TD pass. The touchdown toss came after he was forced to the sideline via a big hit on a crucial fourth-down conversion. Gardner ran for 133 yards and a score and completed 10-of-14 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Austin Hinder
Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, Colo.)

College: Cal
Hinder got the 2009 season off to a very fast start, accounting for six scores in a 41-21 victory over Holy Family (Broomfield, Colo.). The future Golden Bear completed 20-of-29 passes for 326 yards and five touchdowns with just one interception. Hinder also ran for 57 yards and a touchdown on four carries.

Phillip Sims
Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, Va.)

College: Alabama
Sims lived up to the billing as one the nation's top QBs in a 27-13 victory over Venice (Venice, Fla.) on ESPNU. In a battle against future SEC rival Trey Burton (Florida commit), Sims was able to bring Oscar Smith's winning streak to 16 games by completing 15-of-19 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown.

Chandler Whitmer
Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, Ill.)

College: Illinois
It was not the start Whitmer was hoping as he threw two interceptions in a 16-14 loss to ESPN RISE FAB 50 Midwest region-ranked Bolingbrook (Ill.). Whitmer did account for the two scores for the Mustangs, rushing for one and throwing for the other. On the day, he completed 11-of-18 passes for 160 yards.
