How are the nations top quarterbacks progressing? Each week, ESPN RISE will track the performances of the 12 QBs who attended the 2009 Elite 11 quarterback event.

Blake Bell
Bishop Carroll (Wichita, Kan.)
In a tough, hard-fought battle against Northwest (Wichita, Kan.), Bell took Carroll on a 12-play scoring drive to put the Eagles up two scores in the final minutes and secure their second victory of the year. Bell completed 24-of-38 passes for 286 yards and two scores and added two rushing touchdowns.

Saline (Saline, Mich.)
Michigan State
Nothing went right for the future Spartan as he was pressured all day and could never get anything going in a 36-14 loss to tough division rival Pioneer (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

Penn State
Bolden and St. Mary's had the weekend off to prepare for their key matchup against ESPN RISE FAB 50-ranked De La Salle (Warren, Mich.).

Tyler Bray
Kingsburg (Kingsburg, Calif.)
Bray got off to a good start in 2009 by completing 13-of-28 passes for 238 yards and two scores in a 44-13 win over Dos Palos (Dos Palos, Calif.).

Barry Brunetti
Memphis University School (Memphis, Tenn.)
West Virginia
Despite seeing limited action in a 59-7 win against Overton (Memphis, Tenn.), Brunetti delivered his best passing performance of 2009. In two quarters, he completed 14-of-20 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a score.

Devin Gardner
Inkster (Inkster, Mich.)
Gardner and Inkster were off this past week and will take on Ohio powerhouse St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) this weekend.

Jake Heaps
Skyline (Sammamish, Wash.)
Heaps was deadly efficient in Skyline's 42-12 win over Ballard (Seattle, Wash.). The BYU-bound signal-caller completed 8-of-9 passes for 119 yards and two scores and ran for a touchdown. Next up is the big one as FAB 50 No. 9 Skyline hosts ESPN RISE FAB 50 No. 6 Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.) and its Washington-bound quarterback Nick Montana. It will be the first Elite 11 head-to-head matchup since current Detroit Lion Matthew Stafford and current Ole Miss quarterback Jevan Snead battled in the 2005 Texas 4A state playoffs.

Austin Hinder
Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, Colo.)
Hinder was his usual self in a 36-27 victory over Delta (Delta, Colo.). The key to the game was two quick scoring drives led by Hinder coming out of halftime to gain control. On the night Hinder, hit on 15-of-24 passes for 155 yards with an interception and touchdown while also rushing for 35 yards and a score.

Nick Montana
Oaks Christian (Westlake Village, Calif.)
In an easy 51-0 victory over Muir (Pasadena, Calif.), Montana was efficient as four of his 11 completions went for scores. He was 11-of-17 overall for 164 yards with no interceptions.

Jesse Scroggins
Lakewood (Lakewood, Calif.)
Scroggins rebounded from a tough opening-week loss to Crenshaw (Los Angeles, Calif.). The USC commit accounted for four scores through the air on 16-of-25 passing for 249 yards and one interception in a 28-7 win over Palos Verdes Peninsula (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.).

Phillip Sims
Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, Va.)
Sims did not need to do too much in a 42-10 victory over Indian River (Chesapeake, Va.) as the ground game was the key to victory for Oscar Smith. Sims was 9-for-18 for 183 yards and one score.

Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, Ill.)
Whitmer was finally able to lead South to its first victory of the year behind 161 yards and three touchdowns through the air in a 42-25 win over Leyden (Franklin Park, Ill.).
