State Stat Leaders: Week 5

As the season progresses, the running backs seem to be getting stronger. For only the third time this season, at least eight players broke the 200-yard rushing mark, including North Hagerstown's Anthony Winter who set a school-record for most yards in a game. Only four quarterbacks surpassed 200 yards passing, but four players had at least four touchdowns in a game this week.

For the season, DeMatha's Marcus Coker became the first running back to surpass the 1,000 yard rushing mark, courtesy of playing on Friday night, but Gilman's Darius Jennings leads the state in rushing.

Every week, MDVarsity.com will list the season leaders along with the weekly leaders. Numbers may adjust after the initial post on Monday so be sure to check back during the week for updates.

An asterisk by a players name indicates missing weeks from his season statistics. Some players' statistics may be missing for particular weeks, so if a player's numbers appear off, please have the team statistician or coach submit information to Mike Loveday at Mike.Loveday.ESPN@gmail.com.
