Notable Wins

Mike Loveday
Spencer Wilkins has 12 receiving touchdowns this season.
Tuscarora head coach Dean Swink was quoted in the Frederick News Post after his teams 27-24 win over previously unbeaten Urbana (9-1) as saying, "Do you know anybody in the county that thought we could win this game?" He may have been correct, but that in propelled the Titans into the fourth playoff spot in a tightly contested 3A West and likely puts their playoff destiny into their own hands this week against Riverdale Baptist (4-5).
Made to be broken
Arundel athletes breaking public school and state records is quickly becoming a tradition alongside Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Senior receiver Ronnie Harris broke the public school record for most career touchdown with two scores last week. Harris now has 41 career touchdowns, breaking the old record of 40 held by former Wildcat, Brandon Johnson-Farrell. Harris only needs two more touchdowns this season to tie Johnson-Farrell and former teammate Alec Lemon for the public school record for most touchdowns in a season.
Arundel quarterback Billy Cosh already has his name on several public school and state records and a few more could be added to the list before the end of his season. The senior is one week ahead of his record setting pace from last season. Cosh did not throw his 43rd touchdown of the year until Nov. 7 last season. He threw his 48th touchdown of the year in the region finals and then threw his 56th TD in the state semifinals. Cosh already has 43 touchdowns this season. Cosh (6,498) will likely move into second place all-time for most career passing yards this week - he is only 24 yards shy of the Mike Pfisterer (6,522). No. 1 on the list is held by current Florida Gator, Joe Haden (7,371).
Overlooked
Speaking of quarterback/receiver duos, there are a few more around the state that are having good seasons, but may be getting overlooked.
Mount Hebron's duo of Clint Huber and Spencer Wilkins have accounted for 3,192 yards of total yardage, second only to Cosh and Harris (3,594).
Maryland Christian's Luke DiPaola and Jed Yousefi have accounted for 2,344 yards this season. DiPaola has thrown for 25 touchdowns this season - 19 of those to Yousefi.
