Each month, ESPN RISE will rank the top prep basketball team's in each area. Here are the top five teams for the Greater Houston area.

1. Strake Jesuit The Crusaders may not be the flashiest bunch, but seniors Joey Brooks, Tim Frazier and Stevie Rogers know how to get the job done.

2. Cy Springs Look for Marquette commit Erik Williams, a 6-7 forward, to come back strong after a broken foot derailed a promising junior campaign last year.

3. Chavez Senior point guard Jamaal Fenton is one of the most gifted playmakers in Texas. He's also one of the most underrated due to his slight frame.

4. Ozen The Panthers have advanced to at least the regional tourney every year since 2001. This season's squad is led by junior guard DeCarlos Frank.

5. La Porte The junior trio of point guard Drew Parker and forwards Randy Collins and Cedric Jones will make some serious noise this season.
