PRIME-TIME PLAYERS

PHILIP GALEBACH
Galebach ran a 14:32 at the state meet last year, finishing fourth and coming in two seconds after David Wilson. The two should battle it out for the top spot this year.

DAVID WILSON
Wilson finished second at the state meet as well as the All-New England championships last year, coming in behind graduated teammate Robert Gibson both times.

BRIDGET DAHLBERG
A Boston Globe All-Scholastic and state champion in the mile, Dahlberg is running cross country this season and should be a contender when the state meet rolls around.

KIRSTEN KASPER
The defending state champion, Kasper will need to improve on her time of 16:54 from last year in order to hold off a deep group of strong challengers. She is also a state-champion swimmer.

COACH'S TAKE

AN AREA COACH ON BRIDGET DAHLBERG:
"She's a soccer player, and you can see it when she runs. Not only is she very strong and consistent, but she's fast too. She's got the ability to run away from people with that quick burst. It's her speed that separates her."
