PRIME-TIME PLAYERS
T.J. HOBART
Hobart was part of one of the WPIAL's most dynamic
1-2 punches last year. But with former teammate
David Adley gone, it will be Hobart's job to lead
Baldwin. He was seventh in Class AAA last year.
CAM STAUFFER
At last year's WPIAL Class AAA meet, Stauffer was
the fastest-finishing underclassman, taking fourth
overall and leading his team to a runner-up finish.
He should contend for an individual title this year.
NATALIE BOWER
Bower has been one of the state's top runners since
her freshman season. She finished fourth overall at
last year's PIAA Class AAA state meet and has a very
good chance at a state title this season.
AMBER VALIMONT
Valimont's seventh-place finish at the WPIAL Class
AAA meet last year as a sophomore could be a sign
of things to come for this up-and-coming runner.
She also had a very strong track season.
COACH'S TAKE
AN AREA COACH ON LEAH ANNE WIRFEL:
"She's a great kid, she's really friendly and she's
got a great work ethic. Her team lost its top runner,
though. It will be interesting to see how she
fares without that girl up front to pace her."
