Greater Chicago Got Game

11/1/2008

Who's got game? Each month, ESPN RISE finds out. Here are the athletes we recognized in November:

MOLLIE SLOYAN
LOCKPORT -- GIRLS' BOWLING

Sloyan was superb last year as a sophomore, leading
Lockport to a sixth-place finish at the state
tournament and also challenging for the individual
title. Sloyan rolled a six-string total of 2,600, coming
in just behind first-place Marilyn Gawlik of
Schaumburg (2,645) and Megan Buja of Rockford
(2,642). With another season of experience under
her belt, Sloyan should be able to finish
strong at states and be in contention
until the very end.

KYLE MCCRUDDEN
NEW TRIER -- BOYS' SOCCER

McCrudden was a junior last year when New Trier went 21-2-1 in the
regular season before falling in the Class 2A state quarterfinals,
and he's doing his best to make sure the Trevians advance
further this year. After leading the squad with 16 goals
a year ago, the 6-foot-1 senior midfielder got off
to a fast start this season as well, scoring
four goals in New Trier's first seven matches
to help the team rise to the forefront
of any state championship
discussions.
