Prime Time Players

REEVES NELSON
Nelson is one of the country's top power forwards, and he's rated as the No. 77 player in the ESPNU 100. The UCLA commit was also an ESPN RISE first team All-Area selection last year.

HOLLIS THOMPSON
The No. 75 player in the ESPNU 100, Thompson transferred to De La Salle from a Los Angeles school over the summer. The smooth small forward has committed to Georgetown.

DAMON POWELL
Powell was a rock for McClymonds last season, leading the team in scoring with 16.1 points per game. He also pulled down a team-high 7.9 rebounds per game.

WILL CHERRY
Cherry's steady hand at the point guided McClymonds to a state championship last season. He averaged 11.9 points, 4.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game.

Coach's Take

AN AREA COACH ON BRANDON SMITH:
"Talk about leaders. That's a team with All-Stars at every position, but you can tell that everyone knows who's the boss. You look at him and you can say he's small or undersized, but he impacts the game as much as anyone."
