PRIME-TIME PLAYERS
SHENNEIKA SMITH
Rated the nation's No. 7 senior in the ESPNU
HoopGurlz 100, Smith is an electrifying scorer.
Thanks to her standout play, St. Michael entered
the season rated No. 3 in the ESPN RISE FAB 50.
BRIA SMITH
It's hard to believe Smith was a freshman last year,
as she averaged 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and five
steals per game for the perennial national power.
She was named to the Daily News All-City first team.
IEASIA WALKER
A first team All-Long Island choice by Newsday, the
South Carolina-bound Walker averaged 19.4 points,
8.7 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 5.1 steals per game.
Walker was named MVP of this fall's Metro Classic.
CHINA CROSBY
The Virginia-bound Crosby is the state's best point
guard. She averaged 17.9 points per game while
leading the Rams to the PSAL title game. She is the
No. 14 senior in the ESPNU HoopGurlz 100.
COACH'S TAKE
AN AREA COACH ON BRIA HARTLEY:
"One of the best things about Bria's game is that
she'll play with the same intensity the whole
time. She's one of the best conditioned kids I've
ever seen. She can play the 1, 2 or 3, can shoot
the ball and is an outstanding defender."
