PRIME-TIME PLAYERS

BRYAN CIESIULKA
The 5-foot-5 junior captain was Neuqua Valley's rock in the middle this season, scoring 17 goals and tallying 14 assists while leading the Wildcats to the state semifinals.

KYLE McCRUDDEN
McCrudden was named the state's Player of the Year by the Illinois Coaches Association, and the honor was well-deserved. The 6-foot-2 sniper scored 22 goals and led New Trier to a state championship.

BRI RODRIGUEZ
Rodriguez, the reigning Gatorade State Player of the Year, had 13 goals and 25 assists before tearing her ACL in the state semifinals. She'll be back at full strength this season.

ALEXA GAUL
ESPNU rates Gaul as the No. 14 player in the Class of 2009, and the top goalkeeper. The U17 Women's National Team member has committed to play at Texas next year.

COACH'S TAKE

AN AREA COACH ON EMILY OLIVER:
"She's younger than the top goalies, but she's the one I'd want in a big game. She's a good leader in the back, very strong, with good hands and fearless in a crowd. She's the reason they got to the state tournament."
