PRIME-TIME PLAYERS

KEVIN ATKINS
Atkins set a WCAL record last year by scoring 19 goals in league play, so keep an eye on his total as he challenges the mark again this season. He has committed to Cal-San Luis Obispo.

AUSTIN MANSKER
Mansker has been in the U17 National Team player pool since his freshman season, and last year he allowed just four goals in 22 games. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound captain has size 11 hands.

AMANDA GLASS
Glass was an NSCAA/adidas All-American last year, and she led San Ramon Valley to the No. 5 ranking in the final ESPN RISE FAB 50. She'll be playing at Cal next season.

MADELINE FOX
Fox has been an All-State selection twice already. The Notre Dame recruit posted a goals-against average of 0.18 last season, and she's rated the No. 38 player in the country by ESPNU.

COACH'S TAKE

AN AREA COACH ON CARLEE PAYNE:
"She's the best I've ever seen when it comes to receiving the ball facing away from the goal. It's like a post-up in basketball. She gets the ball with pressure behind her and can turn on a dime and beat her defender very quickly."
