PRIME-TIME PLAYERS

TRAVIS BENTON
Opponents had a hard time catching up to Benton on the football field, and the task has been just as difficult on the track. Last year, he placed second in the 100 and was a member of the winning 4x400 relay team.

JUSTIN CHAMBERS
Like his sister Lauren, Justin is a prolific point-scorer for Kell. Last year, he blazed his way to the Class AAAAA 400 title with a run of 47.59. Entering the spring, he had the second-best time among returning runners.

NICOLE DIMERCURIO
Last year, Dimercurio registered the state's best time in the 1,500 (4:50.74) and garnered All-County honors from the Gwinnett Daily Post. This past fall, she finished fourth at the state cross country meet.

AMANDA WINSLOW
Winslow has done her part in cementing Collins Hill as a state power. Last year, she won the 3,200 and the 1,600 crowns at state. She also finished fourth in the mile at the Nike Outdoor Nationals.

COACH'S TAKE

AN AREA COACH ON LAUREN CHAMBERS:
"She's been really dominant in her events. She throws both the shot put and the discus. I don't think anyone will beat her in the state of Georgia. She probably will (go unbeaten) in both."
