PRIME-TIME PLAYERS

DEREK COLUCCI
Colucci is the leading playmaker on the state's best team. Even though he lacks ideal size, he's shifty and possesses the speed and quickness to create scoring chances.

STEVE WHITNEY
The Boston College recruit was drafted by the junior leagues, but decided to come back to Lawrence Academy for his senior year. A deep run in the NEPSAC tournament would be a nice reward.

MICHELLE CONWAY
The thought of Conway breaking in with the puck on her stick keeps opposing goalies awake at night. She's scored more than 40 points in each of the past two seasons.

MEGHAN GRANT
Grant, who transferred from Austin Prep over the summer, is a two-time Boston Globe All-Scholastic selection. The premier goalie in Eastern Mass., she has more than 30 career shutouts on her resume.

COACH'S TAKE

AN AREA COACH ON GARRETT NOONAN:
"I don't think he ever leaves the ice. He'll play 30-plus (minutes per game) and control everything. In my opinion, Noonan is the best defenseman in the state."
