RYAN BARNES
The Oregon State-bound infielder has been a key contributor for West Linn, guiding the Lions to league crowns the last two years. He earned All-State honors after batting .413 with six homers and 31 RBIs in '08.

JEFF KREMER
With Kremer behind the plate, Lake Oswego has been one of the most successful teams in the state. Last year, he hit .321 to lead the Lakers to a 20-8 mark. Kremer will attend Duke in the fall.

TIM KELLER
Keller earned Class 5A All-State first team honors and was the Midwestern League Player of the Year after helping North Eugene reach the quarterfinals last year. He also quarterbacks the football team.

MATT MAURER
As a freshman, Maurer propelled the Black Tornado to the Class 6A state title. Last year, North Medford was unable to repeat, but Maurer continued his sparkling play, helping the team win 23 games.

Coach's Take

AN AREA COACH ON BEN WETZLER:
"He is a left-handed pitcher with a fastball in the mid-80s. Very good off-speed pitches. Very good competitor. He has an above-average curveball and fastball. He was on a state championship team as a sophomore."
