KENNY DIEKROEGER
The Stanford coaches can't wait to get their
hands on Diekroeger, who batted .464 as a junior
with six homers. He is No. 16 in the ESPNU player
rankings.
TONY RENDA
Renda does it all for Junipero Serra. In addition to
playing great defense, the Cal recruit batted .486
last year with seven home runs, 46 RBIs and 19
stolen bases.
MARK APPEL
The 6-foot-4 right-hander leads one of the best
pitching staffs in the nation with his fastball/slider
combo. Stanford scooped him up after watching
Appel dominate at the Area Code Games.
SCOTT GRIGGS
Rated the No. 11 player in the ESPNU player rankings,
Griggs is capable of shutting down any lineup.
An Aflac All-American last year, he's headed to
UCLA in the fall.
