ESPN will release the ESPN RISE FAB 50 national girls' soccer winter rankings each week of the regular season and playoffs, continuing through the final matches of the Texas state playoffs.

Now it's Kingwood's turn.

The Houston-area school earned a shot at state No. 1, and with in a FAB 50 top five ranking, in what has been topsy-turvy beginning to the season. Kingwood vaults up the charts this week powered by a 4-2 victory over Katy … the same Katy squad that handed former state No. 1 The Woodlands a loss last week.

In most cases, when No. 1 tumbles, No. 2 is primed for the move up. However, this week, that was not the case in Texas as No. 2 Hebron was held to a draw.

Kingwood's perfect record needs to be acknowledged and the team positioned for a potential run at No. 1 if it continues to win.
