Got Game: Greater Boston

8/25/2008

Who's got game? Each month, ESPN Rise finds out. Here are athletes who we recognized from the Boston area in September:

STEPHANIE BRISTOL
BARNSTABLE -- GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL

The Barnstable dynasty seems to churn out star players on an assembly
line, but senior hitter Bristol possesses uncommon ability. The two-time Boston
Globe All-Scholastic (and former RISE cover girl) has won three state championships,
and she plans to make it four-for-four in 2008. Bristol racked up 309
kills last season, second on the team, and she is a good bet to lead the
team this year.

ANDREW REVANALES
SHARON -- BOYS' SOCCER

Revanales is one of the state's premier snipers,
and he's taking aim at some pretty lofty marks
this season. As a sophomore last year, he scored
28 goals, setting a school record, and he
already owns the Sharon records for career
goals (44) and career points (59). Revanales was
named the MVP of the Hockomock League and
is a captain this season. Sharon is coming off
a state finals appearance, and with
Revanales filling the net, the Eagles
could go all the way this year.
