ARLINGTON, Texas -- Bobby Abreu was scratched from the Los Angeles Angels' lineup against the Texas Rangers due to a stiff back.
Abreu did pinch hit in the ninth inning, though, striking out in the Angels' 4-3 loss.
Reggie Willits started in right field Monday night in place of Abreu, who is batting .270 with five homers and 17 RBIs.
Willits began the night with a .190 average, no homers and one RBI in 16 games.
