Manny to have 2nd MRI Tuesday
LOS ANGELES -- About 24 hours after saying fairly definitively that left fielder Manny Ramirez's right calf injury won't land him on the disabled list for the third time this season and the second time this month, Dodgers manager Joe Torre sounded less convinced on Monday.
Ramirez is scheduled for a second MRI examination on the calf Tuesday.
"He felt a little better [Sunday]," Torre said. "But he felt it a little bit when he was out there running. We'll just take another look and see."

Ramirez had been off the DL for barely 24 hours when he left Friday night's game at St. Louis after the top of the first inning when the tightness he felt in his calf while working out before the game continued to worsen.
Ramirez was on the DL with a similar but possibly unrelated injury from April 23 until May 8. He was sidelined again from July 3 until July 15 with a right hamstring injury he suffered trying to scramble back to second base on June 29 at San Francisco.
Ramirez, 38, is in the final season of a two-year, $45 million contract the Dodgers will be paying off through 2013. He appeared in just 61 of the Dodgers' first 92 games this season, and while he batted a solid .317 with a .409 on-base percentage, he had just 13 doubles, eight home runs and 39 RBIs.
