NEW ORLEANS -- Through the first two episodes, Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom's reality TV show with wife Khloe Kardashian has not caused any controversy when it comes to the NBA Sixth Man of the Year's job playing basketball.
But Khloe's Twitter account has.
Approximately three and a half hours before the start of Game 3 of the Lakers' first round series with the New Orleans Hornets, Kardashian tweeted that Odom suffered an injury on Friday.
"My baby hurt himself today...," she wrote. "Please pray for him and send him positive vibes for his game tonight! He needs the prayers and energy! RT."
The tweet spread around the internet quickly, creating speculation of whether Odom would be able to play in Game 3. Kardashian's Twitter account has more than 2.8 million followers.
Odom did not address any injury on his own Twitter account, but downplayed the situation in the visitor's locker room before the game.
Yes, Odom said before the game, he is going to play.
"I just wanted some sympathy," Odom said, relaying how he called his wife after shootaround.
Odom did not disclose the nature of the injury, but said, "I wasn't warmed up."
He did share, however, that Kardashian promised to cook for him when the Lakers return to Los Angeles on Monday to make him feel better.
"She'll have something waiting for me on the stove when I get home," Odom said with a smile.
