USC announced the hiring of Aaron Ausmus to be the school's strength and conditioning coach Thursday.

Ausmus, 35, worked with Trojans coach Lane Kiffin at Tennessee last season.

Ausmus was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at USC from 2001 to '03 before leaving to take a job at Idaho. He is replacing Chris Carlisle, who recently joined Pete Carroll with the Seattle Seahawks.
