Lane Kiffin continued the raid on Tennessee's coaching staff Wednesday by hiring offensive line coach James Cregg to join him at USC.
Cregg, 36, worked with Kiffin at Tennessee and with the Oakland Raiders. Kiffin already had brought veteran coaches Ed Orgeron and his father, Monte, with him when he bolted Knoxville to succeed Pete Carroll last week.
Cregg, a native of Norco, has been coaching for 13 seasons, including stops at Colorado State, Colgate and Idaho.
He was the offensive line coach at Tennessee last season. Tackle Aaron Douglas made the Southeastern Conference all-freshman team.
Carroll is expected to hire Pat Ruel, USC's longtime offensive line coach, to join him with the Seattle Seahawks.
